I was born in Israel to a secular Jewish family, deeply aware of our history’s most harrowing chapter—the Holocaust in Europe. The question of God’s presence in those dark times lingered, yet religious discussions were rare in our household. My spiritual journey emerged independently of my upbringing. While I believe in God, I do not adhere to any organized religion. Religions, for all their guidance, have also been forces of division, while spirituality has the power to unite.

Religious traditions often categorize people as Christians, Jews, or Muslims, but I see spirituality as something that transcends these labels. To me, seeking God is an inward journey—one that does not require a church, synagogue, or mosque. While many find solace in religious teachings, religions are built on partial truths and can sometimes stifle independent thought.

I see inspiration as a form of divine grace, and I strive to connect with it through my work. My photography explores the emotional responses evoked by religious symbols, particularly in relation to the human body. By incorporating religious objects as styling elements in nude photography, I reshape their original context, challenging the unspoken rules and biases that have shaped religious dogma and human behavior.

My focus is on the three major monotheistic religions—Judaism, Christianity, and Islam—each rooted in the Middle East and deeply intertwined. Christianity emerged from Judaism, and Islam, in turn, evolved from both. Growing up in Israel, I was immersed in the daily realities of these faiths, surrounded by churches, mosques, synagogues, cemeteries, and the cultural significance they carry.
